I usually use sites like skype,msn,twitter...and I realize that people some times use abbreviations to write some words or small sentences.
I don´t like abbreviation when they change them.I think this is a problem for young people´s spelling.When they grow up they don´t know exactly how to write them.
But I'm not against abbreviations for sentences.This can facilitate communication.You spend less time to speak the same.Like OMG ( Oh my God), brb ( be right back),...

I frequently use abbreviations in my texting. The problem I have with these abbreviations is when I am not thinking and use them in my correspondence or documents @ work. I have also found that children who use these abbreviations find that without thinking they use these abbreviations in their school work where it is not appropriate..lol
